Each night, Eye on Basketball brings you what you need to know about the games of the NBA. From great performances to terrible clock management the report card evaluates and eviscerates the good, the bad, and the ugly from the night that was.

Kevin GarnettWhen you join the 25,000-point club, you get an automatic A for the night. Garnett was actually good, though, scoring 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting, grabbing five boards, dishing out four assists, and getting three steals. He also had such a reaction to Gino on the jumbotron that the picture above happened. It couldn't get much better for the Celtics star.
Kenneth FariedTHE MANIMAL HAS BEEN UNLEASHED! Faried had 21 points and 12 rebounds in under 26 minutes. He made/dunked 9 of 10 from the field, made 3 of 4 from the free throw line, and was a plus-19 on the night. You often can't make much of plus-minus but I feel like his number properly reflected how he impacted the game. The Nuggets forward was basically perfect against a really tough Bulls' frontcourt.
The NBAI'm proud of the NBA for how this All-Star Weekend is shaping up. The All-Star Weekend has been stale recently and while we've had some cool moments, we usually end up with people just trying to find a way to fix the experience. Just with subtle tweaks of East vs. West on Saturday and captains recruiting those participants, the NBA has breathed new life into a celebration of the league. That's good work.
Chicago BullsA team that prides itself on defense and stopping its opponents gave up 128 points to the Nuggets. It's understandable to lose to them in Denver; the Nuggets are awesome at home this season. But getting blown out by 32 at some point becomes an effort issue, even if it's just for a night.
Los Angeles LakersThe Lakers didn't share the ball (16 assists on 36 made shots), didn't get out and run against the Celtics (four fast break points), couldn't make free throws (18 of 30), and shot horribly from 3-point range (5 of 23). Other than that, it was a pretty solid game by the Lake Show.
