VIDEO: Charlie Villanueva saves the day for the Pistons

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

With the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks tied with 30 seconds left in the game, it predictably became a showdown between Charlie Villanueva and Brandon Jennings. For those of you counting on Jennings getting to a big market and finding himself a max contract like he's hoping for, I hope you didn't click the video above or see the .gif below.

After a horrendous Jennings isolation shot on the previous possession, Will Bynum found Villaneuva open at the top of the 3-point arc. He pump-faked Ersan Ilyasova, gathered himself, and calmly knocked down the 3-pointer to put the Pistons up three with nine seconds left. Jennings then took the ball up the right side of the floor and launched a shot around half court with three seconds left.

Maybe he thought he got fouled. Maybe he thought there wasn't much time left on the clock. Maybe he thought this could get him traded out of Milwaukee.

Regardless, it was a hilarious ending to a really nice Saturday night game.
