Dunk contest: What the four non-finalists had planned

By Royce Young | NBA writer

HOUSTON -- After a fairly uneventful opening round of dunks that lacked some in creativity, execution and ingenuity, the final showdown in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest featured some excellent finishes and great ideas.

Which of course made me wonder: What did the four guys who didn't make it to the finals have planned?

James White: "I had between the legs, then I was going to try and jump from the top of the key. But, I don't think it was going to allow me because I couldn't grip the ball at all."

Eric Bledsoe: "Who knows. Who knows, man. Maybe [saving it for another contest]. But nah, it wasn't no props, I was just going to do another regular dunk."

Kenneth Faried: "I was going to go under both my legs. Basically, how I went under one, I was going to go under both. But, obviously fell short on that."

Gerald Green: "I was going to probably do something where I go under both my legs. Then I was going to do a dunk where I involved Lance [Stephenson] and Paul [George]. Kind of like a halftime show without a trampoline. Something like that."
