Chris Bosh's no good, very bad All-Star Game

By Royce Young | NBA writer

HOUSTON -- Chris Bosh... had a rough night.

Starting in place of the recently injured Rajon Rondo, Bosh opened Sunday's All-Star Game in style -- with an airball. And then it only got worse.

Chris Paul started it, dribbling through Bosh's legs (called a "nutmeg") after he was caught in a switch on CP3. Then Tony Parker did it to Bosh again.

"It hasn't happened in so long. Man, it was like ... man, they're so fast. It was like, 'What the hell?'" Bosh said. "You can't really react to it. I'm so long. So as soon as it happened, I was like, 'All right.' Then Tony, too. I was like, 'Damn, Tony.' So I had to push him. He was about to get a layup, I can't let you get a layup. Everybody want to throw it between my legs."

If I didn't know any better, it looked like they were picking on the poor big man.

"They were," Bosh said. "It's OK, though."

Bosh's final line: 23 minutes, 3-of-9 shooting, two rebounds, one assist, one steal, three turnovers, six points, two airballs and a game-worst minus-14. And two nutmegs.

"Chris had a tough matchup," Dwyane Wade said, "He got switched on a couple of guys a few times. That's the kind of stuff you do in the park, in the backyard, you do with your kids."

Here's the silver lining, though: Bosh might've had a rough night, but he was an All-Star starter, is defending an NBA championship and is on one of the best teams in the league.

I think he'll sleep just fine Sunday night.
