Each night, Eye on Basketball brings you what you need to know about the games of the NBA. From great performances to terrible clock management the report card evaluates and eviscerates the good, the bad, and the ugly from the night that was.

Russell WestbrookThe book on Russell Westbrook is to cut off his driving lanes and make him connect on contested jumpers. Here's one problem with that: He's really good at getting to the rim. Westbrook had a season-high 37 points on 13-of-22 shooting and absolutely lived at the rim most of the night for the Thunder in a win over the Timberwolves. He went 8-of-10 in the restricted area. He also netted nine free throw attempts (made them all) and had nine assists and seven boards.
Rudy GayIt's only been 10 games, but this was definitely Rudy Gay's best game as a Raptor. He had a season-high 32 points on 11-of-23 shooting, seven rebounds, and was 9-of-11 from the free throw line. Gay had five of the final seven points for Toronto as it pulled out the two-point win over the Knicks.
Jeff GreenMaybe the problem all along was Jeff Green wasn't being played at his natural position -- center. The 6-foot-9 forward helped man the middle for the Celtics and did a great job of it. He had 31 points, seven rebounds, and five blocks as Boston rolled the Suns in Phoenix.
Trio of Nuggets startersThe Wizards pulled out a nice home victory over the Nuggets, and Denver was sorely lacking Danilo Gallinari, Kenneth Faried, and Andre Iguodala. The bad thing, though, is these guys played. The three players combined for 83 minutes and just 14 shot attempts and 20 points. Denver could have really used these three playing at even their average outputs.
Detroit PistonsThe Detroit Pistons shot 45 percent, made 10 free throws and ended up with 30 points in the fourth quarter. That's pretty good, right? Here's the thing: they only had 82 points in the game! With a 30-point fourth quarter! The Indiana Pacers acted like the Pistons owed them money.
