VIDEO: DeMarcus Cousins ejected in Kings' loss for elbow

By Royce Young | NBA writer

Here we go again.

For the fourth time this season, DeMarcus Cousins was ejected. In the third quarter Sunday against the Bucks, Cousins caught Mike Dunleavy with what appeared to be an inadvertant clash while both were battling for rebounding position. The two mouthed at each other a bit and were hit with technicals.

The tech was Cousins' 12th of the year, tied for second-most in the league.

Cousins, taking exception to it, tossed a high elbow Dunleavy's way the next trip down the floor. The officials saw it, called it, reviewed it and hit Cousins with a Flagrant 2 and automatically ejected him.

As you might expect, Dunleavy was not happy following the game, via the Sac Bee:

"I'm not even going to begin to reason with someone like that," Dunleavy said. "I don't know where to begin. I don't even know what happened the first time around. I thought I was just trying to box him out, a bunch of bodies fell and collapsed, and there was a timeout. Next thing you know, he starts barking at me. We try to run a play, and he elbows me in the head. I don't know."

More Dunleavy: "He came up and confronted me about whatever. He's just always talking, always running his mouth, you know? He should leave people alone."

And still more from Dunleavy: "He came up to me and got in my face about stuff. And we're here to play basketball, and this guy's got other stuff going on, obviously."

Before the incident, Cousins was playing wonderfully, putting up 24 points and 10 boards in less than three quarters. But following his ejection, the Kings couldn't keep pace with Milwaukee and lost, 115-113.

Cousins obviously has a problem here with his temper and is doing nothing but enhancing his reputation as a knucklehead.

The question is if Cousins will see a fine or a suspension from the league for this play, things that seem likely. Cousins is a repeat offender and has a history, which goes a long way in NBA punishment.
