Eye on Basketball Podcast: Dan Woike talking Clippers

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

Dan Woike of the Orange County Register joins me for Tuesday's podcast to talk about the Los Angeles Clippers. We start off by discussing what it was like for Dan to cover the big DeAndre Jordan dunk from a couple days ago, and where it ranks with other big dunks he's seen from the Clippers this season. But it dovetails into a conversation about the celebrating culture and chemistry of the Clippers team. Just how close is this team, and is Vinny Del Negro a big part of that?

We also talk about where this team stands as a contender in the NBA. Is the Chris Paul-Blake Griffin combination going to be able to stand up to the dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook? Is Chauncey Billups going to have a positive effect on the team when he's healthy? Where does the growth of this team come from and where is it headed?

We discuss all of that, plus the etiquette required for playing a child one-on-one in basketball.

You can read all of Dan Woike's coverage of the Clippers here at the Orange County Register and you can follow him on Twitter @DanWoikeSports.
