Eye on Basketball Podcast: Big night of action is coming

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

With a big night of NBA action happening Wednesday night, Matt Moore joins me to talk about the showdown between the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls, and the other 13 games on the schedule. But before we delve into that, we discuss the end of the game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks. What did the Clippers do wrong? Is it possible Chris Paul isn't enough? Why is Matt Barnes taking big shots? And should Blake Griffin be trusted more at the end of close games?

Then we jump into a quick discussion about a recent Ricky Davis quote, in which he says that he thought LeBron James in 2003-04 was "just going to be another addition to help me score." How incredible is that quote about the most hyped high school player to ever enter the league? Did Ricky think he was going to be the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to LeBron's version of Magic Johnson? Is that quote tattoo-worthy?

We discuss all of that, plus the Heat's attempt at 28 consecutive wins, the problems with the Lakers' defense, and a full preview of tonight's action.
