Blake out indefinitely (hamstring); Nash and Meeks doubtful for Game 3

By Royce Young | NBA writer

The Lakers are already in a 2-0 hole to the Spurs, and that hole just got whole a lot deeper.

The team announced Thursday that Steve Blake is out indefinitely with a pulled hamstring, Steve Nash is doubtful for Friday's Game 3 after having two epidural injections in his back and a cortizone shot in his hip, and Jodie Meeks is doubtful with a sprained left ankle.

Blake injured the hamstring during Game 2 with 4:51 left in the game and had to be helped off the court by teammates.

Nash, who has been battling injuries all season and had epidural injections last week to help aid an ailing back and hamstring, played in both Games 1 and 2 but said he aggravated it on Wednesday

"Unfortunately, I tweaked it in the first half," Nash told reporters. "I tried to keep going. It got worse as the game went on."

Meeks suffered the sprained ankle in Game 1 and did not play in Game 2.

Likely without their four primary guards -- because remember, Kobe Bryant is also out -- the Lakers will likely turn to a starting backcourt of Darius Morris and Andrew Goudelock with Chris Duhon as their only depth in the backcourt. Considering Pau Gasol's talent, maybe it would just be best to have him run point guard. I'm actually only half kidding about this.
