VIDEO: LeBron James gets MVP award, air-balls clutch shot late

By Matt Moore | NBA writer

LeBron James won his MVP award Sunday and was recognized for it before Game 1 in Miami. Then this happened:

Wait, I'm sorry, is it 2011 again? LeBron shrinking in the clutch? When are we?

James had 24 points on 8 of 17 shooting to lead the Heat but was -15 in the game.

On that play, James had his man straight-up but instead opted to loop and then fade away. He was clearly trying to get to the rim but the Bulls' interior defense was as good as it had been all night.

The Bulls outplayed the Heat. James failed on the biggest shot of the night. And now the Heat trail Chicago 1-0. Get ready for the drama, folks.
