No Derrick Rose, no Kirk Hinrich, no Luol Deng for Bulls in Game 3

By Matt Moore | NBA writer

No emotional returns, no big talent boost, just more of the same for the Chicago Bulls in Game 3 against Miami. The Bulls announced at shootaround on Friday that PG Derrick Rose, PG Kirk Hinrich and SF Luol Deng are all out for Game 3.

Vague reports had circulated, more than usual that is, that Rose was gearing up for a return in Game 3. Tom Thibodeau said Thursday that "nothing had changed" with Rose, who continues his absence after being medically cleared by doctors for months following his ACL surgery.

Hinrich's bruised calf is so severe it reportedly has warranted a second MRI due to damage to muscle fibers. He has tried to warm up the last four games and been unable to go.

Deng, meanwhile, had hoped to play despite having lost 15 pounds due to complications from a spinal tap last week. He was admitted twice to the emergency room last weekend due to complications from the procedure.
