VIDEO: Amir Johnson throws out horrible first pitch at Blue Jays game

By Royce Young | NBA writer

NBA players don't have the greatest track record of throwing out first pitches at baseball games. Hard to forget John Wall's incredible failure.

Amir Johnson of the Toronto Raptors got his shot at the honor at a Blue Jays game and his effort was very Wall-ish. He wound up, took a big step and ... threw it almost straight into the ground.

Johnson, obviously a bit embarrassed by his effort, called for another shot. He got the ball back and wound up again.

And threw it into the stands -- on purpose. Smart idea. Don't humiliate yourself any further with another bad throw, and get the fans back on your side by giving them a souvenir.
