Eye on Basketball Podcast: Play Roy Hibbert, save the world

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

I'm live from Miami and Matt Moore is live from Memphis, so we're ready to discuss both conference finals after Wednesday night's thrilling Game 1 overtime win by the Miami Heat over the Indiana Pacers.

The hot topic is Pacers coach Frank Vogel taking Roy Hibbert out of the game with 2.2 seconds left, leaving the rim unprotected for the LeBron James game-winning layup. Is the threat of Chris Bosh's midrange jumper more concerning than James driving to the basket? Could the Pacers have defended it differently? Would it have mattered? And should the Pacers feel good about getting the Heat to play their style of basketball?

In the Western Conference Finals, what is the mindset of the Memphis Grizzlies going back home down 0-2 to the San Antonio Spurs? Should the Grizzlies remain calm or is there genuine concern for the way they've played through most of the first two games? Can the Spurs play Memphis' style of basketball if they get dragged into the mud? Should people be worried about Zach Randolph's struggles so far in the first two games?

We discuss all of this, plus in-arena announcers, meat sweats and confusing connecting flights.
