VIDEO: Pacers get back-to-back techs, Brian Shaw yells 'ball don't lie!'

By Royce Young | NBA writer

In the second quarter of Friday's Game 2 between the Heat and Pacers, Sam Young was called for a technical by Scott Foster for doing ... something. Presumably, that little swipe on LeBron James after the whistle.

The Pacers objected, especially associate head coach Brian Shaw, who was then hit with a technical from Foster. After Ray Allen missed the second free throw, Shaw let out a gleeful "BALL DON'T LIE!" for all to hear. Somebody hire that man. He's got the most important part of coaching down already. He knows how to gripe at an official.

What's interesting about the technical that Young was called for, though, is that it came only as a result of LeBron taking exception to whatever it was that Young did. It's the ultimate he's-LeBron-James-and-you're-not call. Young wasn't getting called for anything until LeBron pushed him. The officials respect LeBron that much. Kind of weird, isn't it?
