Tony Parker injures hamstring in Game 3, will have MRI Wednesday

By Royce Young | NBA writer

SAN ANTONIO -- Time to hold your breath if you're the San Antonio Spurs.

Tony Parker said he will have an MRI on his right hamstring after tweaking it at some point in Game 3.

"We'll see," Parker said. "I felt something on my hamstring so I don't know, I have no idea [when it happened]," Parker said. "I'm just trying to stay positive. Hopefully it's just tight or a cramp.”

Parker said he was uncertain as to if he'd be available to play in Game 4.

"Hopefully it's nothing big and it's just a cramping, or got tight on me," he said. "I don't know, it was just a weird feeling. I just wanted to make sure the doctor said I was OK and then I played two minutes in the fourth quarter and we were up big so Pop didn't want to take the risk. We'll see tomorrow."

In the second half, Parker mysteriously exited the game and went to the locker room for a brief time. He returned to begin the fourth quarter, but only remained in a couple minutes. But like Parker said, that likely had to do with the blowout nature of the game, though.

Parker said he wasn't in pain and that his treatment will be to "ice all night."

Gregg Popovich was asked postgame if he knew anything about Parker's injury.

"No," he said.

Like everyone else, he'll just have to hold his breath and wait.
