He meant it in that moment to literally move out of the way so he could celebrate with his teammates.
But really, after lifting a second straight championship and completely carrying his team to do it, LeBron James telling the media to "Get the f--- out of my face' in the locker room really meant so much more.
At about the 1:10 mark of the video, LeBron is in the locker room just minutes after winning his second ring and second Finals MVP. Cameras and reporters everywhere as the Heat pop bottles of champagne and try to share an incredible moment together.
LeBron takes a minute to answer a few questions to begging reporters but then finally just says, "It feels great. It feels great. I don't want to talk to y'all no more. Leave me alone. Get the f--- out of my face. I'll see y'all at the podium."
Perfect. In so many ways perfect.
We all know the criticism that LeBron has endured and, despite winning a title last season, questions about his legacy and who he is as a player resurfaced. But with a dominant Game 7 in which he dropped 37 points, including the game-clinching dagger, those questions are done. At least until they're not, because who am I kidding?
His last words at the podium on Thursday night were to thank the media for "motivating" him. He hears it. He knows what people say. But as a four-time MVP and now two-time NBA champion, LeBron is on top of the world and rightfully so.
Get the bleep out of his face, indeed.
