The Detroit Pistons could use some help on the perimeter. After trading forwards Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye in the deal that brought Jose Calderon over to the Pistons and then losing Calderon to the Dallas Mavericks in free agency, the Pistons have a big need on the wing right now. They drafted Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to be the answer at shooting guard moving forward, but the small forward position is pretty thin after Jonas Jerebko.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Pistons are reportedly filling out the wing with Italian shooter Luigi "Gigi" Datome on a two-year deal that will bring the 25-year old forward to the NBA.

Datome is a 6-9 perimeter player who has been a good weapon for Roma in the Italian league the last five years. This past season, he averaged 16.4 points in 33.2 minutes. He made 46.7 percent of his shots, 39.4 percent of his 3-pointers and 92.6 percent of his free throws. Here are highlights from Datome when the Italian national team played against the Turkish national team in a FIBA game.
I'm not terribly familiar with his game but, based on this clip, it looks as if he plays a little like Carlos Delfino.
