The fantastic Tumblr page Got 'Em Coach provided us with this gem from an old game between the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons, back when both teams were just as likely to come to blows as they were to dunk on each other at any given moment.
John Salley pushes the ball ahead to Joe Dumars, who catches it in mid-air at the 3-point line on the wing and in one motion whips a perfect behind-the-back bounce pass to Dennis Rodman. We've seen better passes before, but not many. Don't forget how incredible Dumars was at all aspects of the game.
This Ricky Rubio pass from his rookie season popped into my head. In one motion, Rubio snatched a ball knocked away from Kevin Love as he attempted to drive to the basket and delivered a behind-the-back bounce pass to Love that had plenty of english on it.
The lesson is: sharing is caring.
