Until Kobe Bryant returns from his torn Achilles' tendon injury, the Los Angeles Lakers will need some help in the backcourt and on the wings. Xavier Henry is one of the one-year contract guys the team will need to help fill that void Bryant currently leaves.
In a very strong debut during their preseason opener against the Golden State Warriors in Ontario, California, Henry scored 29 points in 26 minutes off the bench, including a buzzer beater from just beyond half court before the second quarter clock expired. Henry made 9-of-15 from the field, 2-of-4 from 3-point range, and 9-of-11 free throw attempts. He chipped in seven rebounds and two steals as well.
