Report: Vladimir Radmanovic is retiring

By Royce Young | NBA writer

Vladimir Radmanovic is retiring, according to reports out of his native Serbia.

After 12 solid seasons in the NBA as a stretch 4 where he shot 37.8 percent from 3 and averaged 8.0 points, at 32 years old and unable to find a taker as a free agent, Radmanovic is done.

He played for seven teams after being drafted by the SuperSonics 12th overall in 2001, with stops with the Clippers, Lakers, Bobcats, Warriors, Hawks and the Bulls, where he played last season.

Outside of ill-advised, forced 3-pointers, Radmanovic is maybe best known for that unfortunate time he wore dreads in Seattle or the time he separated his shoulder over the All-Star break.

His best season was probably 2003-04 with the Sonics where he averaged 12.0 points on 42.5 percent shooting and 37.1 percent from 3. His career was never anything all that special, but he was a serviceable role player for a couple of pretty solid teams.
