VIDEO: Miami Heat intro video shoot is exactly what you'd expect

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

This will go over well with non-Heat fans.

The Miami Heat have been leaking scenes from the video shoot for the team's introduction video this season and the looks of the video are interesting to say the least. In the video above LeBron James is wearing gigantic gold chains as he works out in what I can only assume was the final scene of the Jean-Claude Van Damme movie "Death Warrant." He then dominates a gigantic tire by flipping it and then maniacally doing some rope exercises. From there it gets more tame:

Dwyane Wade ended up not working out but hanging out in that music video Bell Biv DeVoe they tried to shoot on "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" once. Considering there are health concerns with Wade getting hurt this season and possibly ending the Heat's title reign, it's probably best that all he had to do was stand in a room and risk smoke inhalation.

Chris Bosh is the only one doing anything remotely basketball related in these leaked videos. He dribbles the ball a few times and then pats it like he's trying to burp a baby.

This isn't the first time they've incorporated rope work and general workout elements to their videos. This was last year's video:

They've also had general fire and smoke elements before like in the 2010-11 video that made you believe there were only three players and some dancers on the team until about halfway through the video. Then you saw Erick Dampier and Jamaal Magloire and started wondering if those dancers could hedge on pick-and-rolls.

But that wasn't even the best Heat introduction video. Their "All of the Lights" video still remains one of the greatest things in basketball history.

Shane Battier's rare popped triple collar really brings it all together. Also, all of these videos need much more Juwan Howard involved.
