VIDEO: Wizards Glen Rice Jr. gets putback dunk to force overtime

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

If you want to earn minutes as a rookie, you have to find ways to contribute by making plays when they aren't specifically drawn up for you. Washington Wizards rookie Glen Rice Jr. apparently understands this because he came flying in against the Brooklyn Nets with the Wizards were looking at a preseason loss.

Eric Maynor threw up an off-balance floater as regulation was coming to a close and the Wizards were down two. Rice followed his teammates shot and perfect threw down the putback dunk to send the game to overtime. Rice finished with 13 points on 3-of-8 shooting from the field and the Nets eventually won by five points in overtime. But that's a fun way to get noticed in the preseason.
