Bucks center Ekpe Udoh has knee surgery, out 4-6 weeks

By Matt Moore | NBA writer

The Milwaukee Bucks announced Friday that center Ekpe Udoh underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Friday and will miss 4-6 weeks with recovery.

Udoh averaged just four points and three rebounds last season for the Bucks, after garnering some buzz when he was traded to the Bucks from the Warriors in 2012 on account of his sterling plus/minus numbers which reflected huge gains for the team whenever he was on the court. According to NBA.com, last season the Bucks were slightly worse (-2.3 per 48 minutes) with him on than they were with him on (-1.1).

It's still a shame. Even at age 26, it feels like Udoh still has a lot to give a team. 4-6 weeks isn't anythin huge, but by that time, coach Larry Drew will likely have settled on a rotation with Larry Sanders and veteran Zaza Pachulia.
