After a report surfaced Sunday that the Utah Jazz have had trade interest in Chicago Bulls point guard Marquis Teague, the Chicago Tribune reports that the Minnesota Timberwolves have also been... ahem... sniffing around at the second-year speedster from Kentucky.
The Wolves are a little short on point guard depth with the move of Alexey Shved (seemingly) to full-time shooting guard alongside Ricky Rubio. J.J. Barea usually plays more combo guard, and A.J. Price hasn't impressed in camp. Teague is fast, strong, athletic, and has shown some things, but has struggled with execution in preseason so far. For a Tom Thibodeau team that's looking to contend, that's a poor recipe for sticking around.
