Just before the end of the pass, I noted that LeBron James didn't look great in the Heat's opening half against the Nets. He just seemed off. His dribble seemed discombobulated. His shots seemed strangely disjointed. Even in limited moments he didn't seem like himself. It was easily chalked up to it being preseason, but it still seemed weird. Then I checked his halftime line. Seven point on three-of-six shooting, four boards, three assists. So he's like pizza. Even when he's not great he's pretty great.
And he showed it really was just preseason, because when he wanted to, he kicked in with things like this. Oh, and check out the hands on Chris Bosh, too.
The Nets won 86-62 and as Ken Berger notes, there's definitely a rivalry brewing there with the addition of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce.
Season's right around the corner.
