Timberwolves forward Ronny Turiaf fell awkwardly in the Wolves' blowout win over the Thunder Friday night and an MRI Saturday confirmed the worst.

He broke his elbow, which is really painful and takes a long time to come back from. Timberwolves PR tweeted that he'll be re-examined next week to establish a timeline but don't expect him for a while.

The Wolves were already short on frontcourt depth, so this doesn't help matters, obviously. It'll mean more time for rookie Gorgei Dieng and smaller lineups overall. Turiaf signed with the Wolves this summer as a free agent.
