Monday results: FOUR AND OH. FOUR AND OH. FOUR AND OH.

Monday: 4-0 YTD: 57-50-3.

LOCK IT UP

GAME: Bucks at Magic
FAVORITE:
Magic (-6.5)
PICK: Magic to cover

Road-and-road back-to-back for a team without its starting center starting a rookie point guard. The Bucks have the fourth-worst defense in the league to start with. Orlando's offens isn't gangbusters, but they're looking for a bounceback and are at home. The line's just soft enough to make me confident in this one.

GAME: Cavaliers at Timberwolves
FAVORITE:
Timberwolves (-8.5)
PICK: Wolves cover

Cleveland is 0-5 on the road against the spread, and will be without Andrew Bynum. The Wolves' defense is nothing to write home about but their offense is worth missives and the Cavs' defense has been slipping. Cleveland's grasping for straws right now and Minnesota's not the place to find them.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON, DANGER

GAME: Rockets at Sixers
FAVORITE:
Rockets (-6.5)
PICK: STAY AWAY!

Houston should destroy them. This should be a lock. But it's Houston, and they haven't been consistent enough. The Sixers feast on vulnerable defenses and Houston's vulnerable. If the Raptors can cover on the road vs. Houston, Philly can at home.

But seriously, the Sixers are bad and the Rockets should kill them. ... GAH STAY AWAY.

WEIRD SCIENCE

GAME: Bobcats at Celtics
FAVORITE:
Celtics (-5.5)
PICK: Celtics cover

If it were 2.5, I'd jump at this. And the Celtics have been killing it in this winning streak. But they should come back down at some point and 5.5 is enough to raise some questions. It's low enough to warrant the question of why the Celtics aren't favored by more, and high enough to make you wonder if the Cats could sneak in.

I've Got A Bad Feeling About ThisJ

GAME: Lakers at Nuggets
FAVORITE:
Nuggets (-10)
PICK: Lakers to cover

Denver, a ten-point favorite against any team that isn't the Jazz? The Lakers to keep it single digits on a back-to-back road trip in altitude short-handed after a big win? This has disaster written all over it.
