Rockets' James Harden (foot) out against 76ers

By Royce Young | NBA writer

James Harden is out resting a nagging foot injury against the 76ers on Wednesday. In his place, the Rockets are starting Patrick Beverley and Jeremy Lin together in the backcourt.

Harden played 47 minutes on Monday against the Raptors in a double-overtime win, and practice Tuesday. But with a back-to-back coming against the 76ers and Knicks, Harden is resting likely with an eye on playing against New York on Thursday.

"It's very difficult,” Harden said, via the Houston Chronicle. "Any game is difficult -- just the way I move and cut and do things. It's tough but like I said, once the game starts and the ball is thrown in the air, I am focused on what I need to do to help my team win. Adrenaline kicks in, but after the game, I really feel it."

As for the 76ers, they'll also be without one of their primary players as rookie sensation Michael Carter-Williams is sitting.
