VIDEO: Amar'e Stoudemire forgets he's playing basketball

By Royce Young | NBA writer

The Knicks have been struggling quite a bit on the defensive end this season. So Amar'e Stoudemire tried a new tactic: Not playing any at all, whatsoever.

That's a bold strategy, Cotton.

Incredibly, it totally worked as Peyton Siva traveled on a jump-stop after realizing he had a wide open lane to drive as Stoudemire stared into space.

A clever new wrinkle. Surprise your opponents with the unexpected. It looks like someone was playing 2K14 and accidently changed players.

(But seriously, what was Stoudemire thinking? Did he expect Siva to shoot the open jumper? Did he see a bird fly by? Did he hear someone shout his namely loudly?)

Between this and Andrea Bargnani's "defense," the Knicks are certainly on the cutting edge with defensive tactics this season. Let's see if it pays off for them.
