Rockets' Jeremy Lin out two weeks with knee sprain

By Royce Young | NBA writer

The Rockets are surging a bit, having won three straight games and they're expected to get James Harden back on Friday from a foot injury.

But they're trading him in for Jeremy Lin, who is expected to miss at least two weeks with a knee sprain.

Lin suffered the injury Wednesday against the Hawks.

Without Lin, the Rockets will have to look to replace his production off the bench, where he has begun to excel in his role. Patrick Beverley has remained the starter, but with Lin out he could see heavier minutes, or the Rockets could give minutes to Aaron Brooks, who has been mostly unused this season, except when called upon for injury replacement.

Lin, 25, is averaging 15.3 points and 4.5 assists in 16 games this season.
