NBA Daily Picks: Welpful Wednesday

By Matt Moore | NBA writer

Tuesday results: Thank God for the Warriors' comeback.

Tuesday: 4-3-1 YTD: 141-111-6

Game: Thunder at Trail Blazers
Blazers (-2.5)
PICK: Blazers

Gonna level with you. I hate all the lines Wednesday. It's a death trap. Save yourself. I'm going with this based on three factors. 1. SEGABABA (SEcond GAme of a BAck to BAck) for the Thunder, on the road. 2. The Rose Garden effect. 3. The Blazers are really good and the line is small. That's it. I don't like any of these, to be honest.

GAME: Mavericks at Pelicans

FAVORITE: Pelicans (-1.5)

Mavericks on a back to back on the road. The Pelicans have had time to get past the initial rush of rallying without Anthon Davis. The Pelicans can't defend. The Mavericks score a lot. The Pelicans score a lot. The Mavericks can't defend. I don't like this. At all.

Hey, Good Lookin'

GAME: Clippers at Hawks
Clippers (-3.5)
PICK: Clippers

Clippers are on an East Coast road trip. But Atlanta has just been so shakey lately, you kind of have to like this one. I'm not 100 percent sold on it, but I mean, the Clippers should win... right?

I've Got a Bad Feeling About This

GAME: Spurs "at" Timberwolves
Spurs (-4)

It's a home game for Minnesota in Mexico City. Because that makes sense. So disruption of routine, a desperate Wolves team trying to get back on track, a Vegas-zone line, and all of this is yucky. Just icky. Stay the hell away from this one.
