Milwaukee police have issued two citations to a Milwaukee Bucks player involved in a fight at a nightclub last month.
Lt. Mark Stanmeyer said that citations of disorderly conduct and assault and battery were issued to Larry Sanders in the Nov. 3 incident.
Officers were called to Apartment 720, on Milwaukee Street, after a fight broke out inside the club. According to reports, Sanders was upset about being sprayed with champagne and got into an altercation with several other people at the club.
Sanders said the group was kicking and punching him, so he defended himself by swinging bottles. A 26-year-old Sussex man told police Sanders hit him in the face with a champagne bottle and that it took eight stitches to close the gash.
Sanders signed a four-year, $44 million contract extension with the Bucks before the season started.
