Even when he was struggling with the Minnesota Timberwolves, we knew Derrick Williams was a big-time athlete. Now that he's had a change of scenery and doesn't have the same pressures of performing in Minnesota, Williams has essentially been able to let his hair down so to speak. The results so far have been a good run in the first six games with the Sacramento Kings.
During Monday's blowout victory over the Dallas Mavericks, Williams took the ball from Vince Carter, passed it ahead to Isaiah Thomas, and then trailed the break. Thomas tossed the ball off the backboard and Williams finished with a 180 dunk. Williams finished with a career-high 31 points to go with five rebounds and five steals.
An unleashed Derrick Williams is a very fun thing.
