VIDEO: Zach Randolph gives special needs fan the shirt off his back

Understanding NBA players is impossible, and ultimately, a fruitless task. They show the sides of themselves they choose to, and we interpret those as signatures of their real selves. Furthermore, they're three-dimensional people, defined neither by their actions on court or off, by personal trouble or community service, but all of the above. Still, it's always good to see the kind of positive forces they can be.

Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph was awarded the Kia Assist award for November for his contributions in the community. He's one of the most active players in terms of giving back. And Wednesday night in a loss to the Thunder, Zach Randolph literally gave a special needs fan the shirt off his back.
