NBA Daily Picks: Trust-less Thursday

Wednesday results:
That about sums it up. Let us never speak of this again.

LOCK IT UP

NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE: Go away, stranger, these woods are not for you. These are not the droids you seek. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, do not bet on these games.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON, DANGER

GAME: Clippers at Nets

FAVORITE: Clippers (-2)
PICK: STAY AWAY

Clippers on a back-to-back on an East Coast road trip after looking shakey overall, including for nearly three quarters of Wednesday's game vs. Boston. Brooklyn having won two straight but still very much trying to wash the stink off being arguably the worst team in the league. Brook Lopez vs. a big, strong defender who's not really all that good of a defender in DeAndre Jordan. Chris Paul vs. Deron Williams. There is no reason to go near this one.

I've Got a Bad Feeling About This

GAME: Rockets at Trail Blazers
FAVORITE:
Blazers (-3)
PICK: STAY AWAY!

Houston's been awfully good lately, but the Blazers are nearly invincible at home... except they just lost to Dallas there. (Granted, it was a back-to-back.) LaMarcus Aldridge should post and toast the Rockets' forwards but Dwight Howard could be an issue. Jeremy Lin is back... and has to guard Damian Lillard. Which James Harden will show up? Will Wes Matthews ever lose? Tune in to find out! But don't pick on this game! Stay far, far away in the distant hills.
