"We don't have to talk about this anymore," Noah said. "Nothing happened. It's no big deal. I shouldn't have been in that locker room in the first place. Just wanted to say hi to some loved ones, Thabo's family, that's it. It's not a big deal. Perk is an angry dude. It's all good."
Here's what happened as someone that was in the locker room and saw it first hand: Thabo Sefolosha had come back into the Thunder's locker room to do an interview, and he invited Noah in with him. Upon seeing an opponent in there, Perkins blurted out to no one in particular, "We just let anyone in here now?" Noah dismissed that saying "C'mon man" as Perkins repeated himself. Noah then said "If you want me to wait outside, I'll wait outside," to which Perkins replied, "Get your ass out of here."
Some have reported it as being a "heated argument" but it was hardly anything more than Perkins taking exception to Noah's presence, to which Noah exited.
Noah also downplayed the incident.
"It doesn't matter," Noah said. "Just nothing. Just trying to chill with Thabo. It's all good. ... It's not that serious.
"I know that you guys are probably bored right now: We're losing, there's nothing to do, there's nothing else to talk about. But it's not a big deal," Noah said. "Just waking up in the morning having to talk to NBA security. Come on, let's move on. We've got a game tonight. It's not a big deal. No big deal."
