The Los Angeles Lakers don't have a lot of healthy bodies right now. With Kobe Bryant (knee fracture), Steve Blake (elbow injury), Jordan Farmar (torn hamstring), and Steve Nash (hamstrings/back) all out due to injuries right now, they could use a big lift in the lineup. Luckily for them Pau Gasol will be in the lineup when the team faces the Phoenix Suns Monday night.
After missing the last game with an upper respiratory infection, Gasol is healthy enough to be the best player in the lineup for the Lakers against the Suns. He will start next to Shawne Williams in the frontcourt.
Pau will play. Shawne Williams back to the starting lineup too over Jordan Hill— Dave McMenamin (@mcten) December 23, 2013
Gasol had a great stretch of games recently following a bit of an argument through the media with coach Mike D'Antoni on how he was being used. In the previous three games before he was out with the upper respiratory infection, Gasol averaged 19.3 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. The Lakers won two of those games.
