LeBron James passes Bird, Payton; now 29th in all-time scoring

UPDATE: James also passed Payton in the same game, going to 21,819 points all-time. He's now 29th in NBA scoring, all-time.

Miami Heat forward LeBron James passed Celtics legend Larry Bird Friday night for 30th on the NBA's all-time leading scorers list with 21,792 points after this dunk, via USA Today:

James managed to reach the the top 30, which does not include scorers from the ABA which was absorbed into the NBA in 1976, by the age of 29. Next on the list for James is Sonics legend Gary Payton at 21,813 points at No. 29. Seven active players, Vince Carter, Ray Allen, Tim Duncan, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki and Kobe Bryant are ahead of James on the all-time list.
