TeamGradeAnalysis
ADamian Lillard hit a big shot. Then Tyreke Evans answered him for a 110-108 Pelicans win. Jrue Holiday was fantastic with 31 and 13 assists, Anthony Davis had 27 and 12 rebounds. And the Pelicans clawed their way to a massive win over one of the West's best teams to get within a game of .500. These Pelicans... they're dangerous.
AA very nice win for the Mavericks on the road in Minnesota. Shawn Marion exploded with an 2007-esque 32 points (4-6 from 3!) as the Mavs got the favor of a controversial no-call to hang on 100-98. The Mavs go to 18-13 and put another quality win in their pocket. They are great, but they are pretty good.
BThe Trail Blazers came out the losers in this one, but not without having been part of a terrific game. It appeared they were about to be headed towards overtime, a place where they've been close to unbeatable the past couple seasons. But then they were sunk at the death. It happens. Not much time to lick their wounds, though. They play the Thunder in 24 hours.
BA very nice win for the Wizards that featured a 28-12 shutdown of the Pistons in the fourth quarter. John Wall had 29 and seven assists as the Wizards are back at .500 again. Can they finally get over the hump?
DAnother gut-wrenching close loss for the Timberwolves. A monster 38-19 third quarter put them in control of the game as it was tied heading to the fourth quarter and the momentum flowing their way. But the offense stalled. Oh, and it didn't help that the bench only gave them five total points, with all of it coming from one player.
FIt's just so bad for Memphis right now. Another home loss, this one coming to the Bulls, 95-91. Marc Gasol is going to fix a lot, but certainly not everything.
FTwelve points in the fourth quarter to lose by seven. At home. After looking promising, the Pistons are imploding.
