Anyone want Evan Turner? Just pick up the phone and call Sam Hinkie with an offer. Because they're listening.

According to Sporting News, the 76ers are shopping their starting shooting guard quite hard, but are having trouble finding a taker.

The Sixers, deep into a rebuilding project that kicked off last June on draft night with the trade of All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday, have been stepping up their efforts to make a move before the trade deadline, and swingman Evan Turner has been at the forefront of those discussions, sources told Sporting News.

The Sixers are eager to net a draft pick for Turner—they've also shopped free-agent-to-be center Spencer Hawes and forward Thaddeus Young—and that has been a hang-up in their efforts to find a trade.

Turner is on the books for $6.7 million this season, but is set to be a restricted free agent in the offseason, assuming the 76ers extend an $8.7 million qualifying offer. So the complication for the Sixers in shopping him becomes finding a taker that isn't patient enough to just wait until the summer to sign him.

In the report, teams like the Thunder and Suns are mentioned as potential suitors, but with what the asking price is, and the fact Turner's set to be a free agent, he's a tough player to move.

Turner, a former second overall pick, has had probably his best season yet, averaging 18.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists. But what does he command on the open market? He's not an alpha level player, but he could be someone's second or third option.

A contender might do well with Turner's services. The deadline is in about 20 days. Just pick up the phone.
