Timberwolves' Kevin Martin out indefinitely with broken thumb

By Royce Young | NBA writer

The Timberwolves will be without Kevin Martin for a bit as the guard is sidelined with a broken thumb, the team announced.

The official timetable has Martin out indefinitely after an X-ray revealed a non-displaced fracture of the distal phalanx in his left thumb. He suffered the injury Friday in the final minutes against the Pelicans.

It's just another tough break (no pun intended) for the Wolves who are already without Nikola Vucevic and have missed Kevin Love a few games this week because of a quad injury.

Martin is averaging 19.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 32.3 minutes this season.
