Texas jeweler could lose thousands on All-Star pick

Note to everyone: Never bet on the All-Star Game.

Johnny Dang, a well known jeweler from Houston, offered a deal that pay back anyone that bought his brand of watch if the East won. And the East did exactly that, coming back from 18 down to beat the West, 163-155. Via ESPN.com:

Dang, who calls himself "TV Johnny," told ESPN.com that he sold 37 watches worth about $200,000. Those who bought the watches can get their money back, and keep the watch, by bringing in their receipts on Friday.

"I've been in business for 18 years and this is the first time I've done an offer like this," said Dang, who has three stores in the Houston area. "But it was worth taking a chance for the people who have been loyal to me over the years."

Dang told ESPN.com that he picked the West out of loyalty to the Rockets. He did not say however why he would care about the winner of the All-Star Game.
