Nuggets trade Jordan Hamilton to Houston for Aaron Brooks

By Matt Moore | NBA writer

Ken Berger of CBSSports.com confirms that the Denver Nuggets, in their second deal of the day, have traded wingman Jordan Hamilton to the Houston Rockets for point guard Aaron Brooks.

It's the second deal Denver made Thursday, also sending disgruntled point guard Andre Miller to the Wizards.

Hamilton gives the Rockets a long, athletic shooter to use in their one-in-four-out system with Dwight Howard and Brooks provides a replacement for Miller. The Nuggets have been without a true point guard the last few weeks with Ty Lawson and Nate Robinson injured in addition to Miller's issues with new coach Brian Shaw.

It is weird that the Nuggets elected to take back a diminutive point guard. Ty Lawson is now their tallest point guard. Hamilton is worth trying out for a Rockets team that needs better perimeter weapons. Hamilton has been undisciplined and inconsistent in his time with the Nuggets but could thrive with a change in scenery.
