Blazers' LaMarcus Aldridge falls hard to the floor, leaves game

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

The Portland Trail Blazers have been one of the best surprises on the 2013-14 season, having charged out to a great record at the beginning of the season. As we approach the playoffs, the Blazers have struggled to keep up their early season pace but are still in the middle of the Western Conference seeding chaos. They may need to find a way to maintain this positioning battle without their best player.

Early in the third quarter of the Blazers' game against the San Antonio Spurs Wednesday night, LaMarcus Aldridge took a shot in the lane, collided with Aron Baynes, and fell hard to the ground on his lower back. He was down for several minutes and had to be helped off the floor and into the locker room by teammates.

Aldridge was fouled by Baynes on the play and subbed out of the game, ending his night.
