VIDEO: Anthony Davis goes for 40 and 21 against the Celtics

By Royce Young | NBA writer

Anthony Davis is just 21 years old. And he's already doing absurd things, like his performance against the Celtics on Sunday.

Davis had 40 points on 14 of 22 shooting, while adding 21 rebounds, three assists and three blocks in the Pelicans' 121-120 overtime win.

It was the first 40-20 game in franchise history, including their time in Charlotte as the Hornets. And only the second 40-20 game in the NBA in the past 10 seasons (Dwight Howard had one in 2012.) There have only been 18 total 40-20 games in NBA history.

And Davis put one up at age 21, in his second season.

Anthony Davis: good basketball player. And only going to get better.
