WATCH: Something horrible happened to Spurs mascot Coyote

By Mike Singer | CBSSports.com

Forget about nasty ACL injuries because what happened to Spurs mascot Coyote last night is even more gruesome.

Denver guard Aaron Brooks charged into the stands after a loose ball, crashed (ok, lightly bumped) into Coyote and mangled his eyes to the point of no return. I'm not a doctor, but Coyote should probably enter the NBA's concussion protocol, and if there's any justice in the world, the NBA will be reviewing Brooks' conduct and should consider a suspension for the diminutive but clearly too-powerful-for-his-own-good guard.

The Spurs won 108-103, avenging their fallen mascot.
