VIDEO: Nuggets went to Timofey Mozgov for tying 3-pointer

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

This play right here was at the end of the Denver Nuggets' loss to the Memphis Grizzlies Monday night. Brian Shaw designed a play for Timofey Mozgov to take a game-tying 3-point shot. Allegedly, Mozgov has been hitting 3-pointers in practice for weeks. And he did make a 3-pointer earlier in the week against the San Antonio Spurs, which brought his career total to... one?

He's made one 3-point shot in his NBA career and Shaw designed a play he's been joking about running at the end of games. But the Nuggets definitely aren't tanking. They take their competitiveness very seriously. The perfect part of this play is Mozgov getting his own rebound and then going in for the dunk even though they were still down three.
