Report: Pacers reach 10-year deal with Indianapolis

By Royce Young | NBA writer

The Pacers aren't going anywhere anytime soon as the city of Indianapolis reportedly reached a 10-year deal with the franchise.

According to multiple reports, the Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board struck a $160 million deal with the team. It will keep the Pacers in Indianapolis through the 2023-24 season. Reports say the deal includes $33.5 million for upgrades to Bankers Life Fieldhouse plus $10.8 million for operations.

Also included in the deal is a First Right of Refusal should 79-year-old owner Herb Simon die and the team be put up for sale.
