Eye on Basketball Podcast: Going for the playoff throat

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

Ethan Sherwood Strauss joins me to discuss Thursday night's Game 3 showdown between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors. The Clippers destroyed an undermanned Warriors team in Game 2 by 40 points and will now try to take back home court advantage with a win in Oracle Arena. How big of a factor will the crowd be for the Warriors or more importantly the referees? Should the Clippers be able to keep the advantage since the Warriors don't have Andrew Bogut?

We then shift our attention to the Houston Rockets and the fact that they've blown two home games and are now 0-2 heading back to Portland to face the Trail Blazers. Are the Rockets not as pleasing to the eye as they should be? What is James Harden's problem on defense and how does he have so many lapses? How good have the Blazers been? Do we actually like this Rockets team or do we like the idea of them?

We discuss all of this, plus getting around Los Angeles, the Charlotte Bobcats' fight against the Miami Heat, and much more.
