Bobcats center Al Jefferson told reporters Saturday at shootaround he intends to play. From the AP:

Bobcats center Al Jefferson says he'll play in Game 3 Saturday night against the Miami Heat.

Jefferson participated in Saturday morning's shoot around and says his injured left foot feels "about the same" as it did before Game 2 Wednesday night.

Jefferson says "Once I come out of the game and go back in, it may take a few seconds to get it warmed back up."

Jefferson was 9-of-23 in Game 2 for 18 points and 13 rebounds. He suffered a torn plantar fascia in Game 1, received multiple painkiller injections during Game and before Game 2 and was in a walking boot prior to Game 2. Doctors have told Jefferson he can't do any more damage to the injury by playing on it, it's just painful as all get out.

The Heat lead the series 2-0.
